After Imtiaz Ali, Ekta Kapoor gets THIS director on board!

Since the inception of Ekta Kapoor’s digital entertainment venture, ALTBalaji, she has set out on a rampage to produce some super-engaging content in collaboration with the best of talent that is available in the industry as of now.

Quite recently, got to know that Kapoor’s eponymous production house and ace director Imtiaz Ali have joined hands for a film titled Laila Majnu, the poster of which, quite frankly, reminds us of Shahid Kapoor’s Haider. But, before you get too excited, let us tell you that Imtiaz is only on board with this project in the capacity of a distributor and not a director. But hey, it’s a start, right? WHO KNOWS what this will lead to, right?

But, just when we mapping out the possible routes that the Ekta-Imtiaz relationship could take, we hear something that is equally more exciting, if not more.

As per reports, Ekta has brought the director of the upcoming Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Soorma, Shaad Ali, on board to direct Kapoor’s next big production for the web which will star Vivek Oberoi, who, as is well known, had already signed a web series with Balaji Entertainment’s digital arm.

Now, how will this pan out? Only time can answer that for us in the due course of time.
