“I’m not willing to draw blood or go to war over a movie”- Akshay Kumar

Clashes are quiet common in Bollywood but they’re considered news when it consists of two superstars against each other. One such clash is about to come our way and it has Bollywood’s Khiladi against Bollywood’s King.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raula which is slated to release on the 11th of August has tough competition this time as Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is scheduled to release on the same day.

While everyone expected the stars to get a bit competitive and aggressive reminiscing the Kaabil-Raees clash, Akshay did not show any such indications while speaking to a leading tabloid.

Akshay justified the clash and said, “My film is coming on August 11 because it’s a big date and an opportune time. Besides, Independence Day, there is another holiday in the same week. Such long weekends can easily take two big releases. Ghayal and Dil clashed, as did Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Lagaan.”

We’ve all known actors who treat clashes as battles that are to concur, however, Akshay begged to differ saying, “Box-office clashes are professional hazards and ideally they should not have any personal implications. In a situation where we have 200 movies to be accommodated in 52 weeks, clashes have become unavoidable. I’m aware that (we don’t live in an ideal world). But I’m not willing to draw blood or go to war over a movie.”

This surely shows that Akki knows his game and is not worried about losing his business to another star.
