Tigress Katrina Kaif and her Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan go a long way. Much before the Tiger franchise took off, Katrina and Kabir had worked together in an another YRF production, New York.
Fast forward to today, where Tiger Zinda Hai, the sequel to Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger is being shot, it is natural that the original director will be missed, and Miss Kaif is no exception.
In a recent interview, Katrina spoke about the void she feels due to the absence of Kabir Khan by saying “Kabir is passionate about movies. He was one of my first friends in the industry. We miss him on the set, but that’s how the industry works. You get close to people you work with then we go our different ways. I do feel the void.”
Speaking about Ali Abbas Zafar, the one who is helming Tiger Zinda Hai, she says “I like Ali’s vision. He is a dear friend. I tell him that TZH is a huge responsibility. His last film Sultan (2016) was loved by the audience so he can’t afford to be complacent. He is working hard. We shot some amazing action sequences last month.”
Well, we couldn’t agree more with Kat on the last bit. It would also be great if Kabir drops by on the set at some point. That’d be cool, wouldn’t it?
Tiger Zinda Hai will (hopefully) be the Christmas release we are waiting for and although we know as to when to expect the teaser, we can’t wait to get a glimpse of the trailer!
