B-Town is evidently eager to see Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor make her grand Bollywood debut! Word on the street is that she has locked in a three-film deal with Dharma Productions, with two films allegedly being Student Of The Year 2 and the Hindi remake of the blockbuster Marathi flick ‘Sairat’ But, given that she is the daughter to the two most well-known names in the film fraternity, it would have been her parents who would have suggested her to venture into acting, right?
Turns out, that wasn’t the case at all! In fact, little Jhanvi went on to artfully convincing her parents about letting her foray into the film industry.
Sridevi, in one of her interviews with regards to her upcoming film MOM, shares as to how her little one went on to reveal her decision of being in the film world. She said “The first time Jhanvi confessed that she wanted to become an actress was when someone asked her what she wanted to do in life. She said, ‘I will become a doctor. But not in real life. In a movie, I will play a doctor.’’ To which the veteran diva reacted by saying ‘Hello, what are you saying?’ (Laughs) Maybe, at the back of her mind, she had decided, but she was too shy to express it to us. Slowly, slowly bomb phoda!”
Quite a masterstroke, we must say!
As it’s evident, Sridevi did not oppose the wish of her daughter darling and are giving all the support they can to their younger one.
She added “I didn’t get angry. (Laughs) But I went up to Boneyji and said this is what she wants. So dono sar pe haath rakh ke baith gaye ki yeh kya ho gaya. (Laughs) Slowly, we psyched ourselves and came to terms with it,”
Mrs. Kapoor, we can be certain that she will make you proud by taking your legacy forward!
