GULAB JAMUN: Is this the name of Aishwarya & Abhishek’s next film?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan starred together in as many as eight films, Raavan being their last collaboration in 2010. Now, Bachchan Jr. is gearing up for Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan and Aishwarya has Fanney Khan coming up. If sources are to be believed, Kashyap has roped in both Abhishek and Aishwarya for a film called Gulab Jamun.

The film will be directed by Sarvesh Mewara and an announcement is expected soon. A source said, “It’s a quirky dramedy (drama and comedy), a slice-of-life film which has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan grow into elderly people. But the twist is that they won’t be sporting white hair and looking old. While Abhishek matures and becomes somebody else (the role Amitabh Bachchan has been approached for), Aishwarya becomes an elderly woman (played by another actress). Jaya Bachchan was approached to play an older Ash but she refused.”
