There is no doubt in saying that Sanjay Dutt is one of the most controversial actors in Bollywood. Sanjay Dutt has been through a lot in his life. Be it drugs or even going to the rehab, the actor has always been open about it. In fact, Sanjay Dutt was one of the first actors to admit that he was addicted to drugs.
Leaving his past Sanjay Dutt is all set to make his comeback with Bhoomi, but did you know there was a time when Sanjay Dutt didn’t feel like coming back to India. Yes, you heard it right.
It was that time when Sanjay Dutt had overcome his drug addiction and wanted to start his new life. While speaking to Simi Garewal on her famous talk show ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’, the actor made this shocking revelation.
He said “Actually when I finished my treatment, I told dad that whatever little money I had in the bank, I wanted to transfer to America. I had met this guy in rehab, his name was Bill, very very rich man. I went to Austin, Texas with him and they have got this ranch, so he and I were getting into a partnership to raise long cattle and sell beef. And my father came and he says, ‘Son, I mean I can understand that you don’t want to come back but for my sake come back, for my respect, come back’.”
“No I didn’t (wanted to come back to India), I told Dad, I said that I give myself a year, if nothing happens then I am going back to Austin, Texas. And I had two months left and this guy Pappu Verma, he is a fight master, he came and said that I want to do a film with you. I said that you can’t-do a film with me because in two months I am going. So he said I’ll complete it in two months. And I did it and I am stuck,” added the actor.
On asking what made him return back to India, Sanju Baba said “I found that life was much better in America. I saw the beautiful openness, just raising cattle and on horseback and here I got stuck in this.”
Well, we are glad that Sanjay Dutt came back to India.
