Joining his industry seniors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and several others, Emraan Hashmi is all set to turn producer.
His first production will be called ‘Captain Nawab’ where he will play an army soldier. This will be the first time that the serial kisser will be wearing an army uniform on screen, though he has donned the Khakee in movies like ‘Ungli’, ‘Zeher’ and briefly in ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’.
He also revealed the first look of the film and his character. Interestingly, his uniform is a mix of both Indian and Pakistani camouflage. Emraan says “That’s the DNA of the film. I know it’ll spark off assumptions but I’ll hold the suspense for now”.
The film will be directed by Tony D’Souza who had made ‘Azhar’ with Emraan Hashmi earlier this year. The scripting of ‘Captain Nawab’ is still underway, though Emraan hints that the film is inspired by true events.
