This is why Deepika Padukone isn’t a part of Majid Majidi’s film!

The rumors about Deepika being dropped out of Majidi’s next is untrue! Click to know more.

Deepika Padukone sets things straight! Rumors were being passed around town with regards to Deepika Padukone not being selected for the role of Ishaan Khattar‘s sister in Majid Majidi‘s next, titled Beyond The Clouds.
Here’s what really happened. She infact rejected the script! Just like the firebrand artiste Kangana Ranaut! Keep reading for the full story.
Deepika Padukone, as a way of showing respect to the Iranian director Majid Majidi, did a look test for the proposed role in Beyond The Clouds, but was reluctant to say yes to the script until and unless she hadn’t heard out the final draft. But, once she had heard out the script she was being roped in for, she politely denied to be on board as the character isn’t something that DP was looking to play at this juncture of her career.
The bindass actress Kangana Ranaut had the same opinion. She too believed that the role of the sister isn’t powerful enough. She suggested strongly that the script shouold be re-worked so that the sister’s role gains some prominence, but Majidi reportedly refused to give in.
Guess Kangy and DP are on the same page here.
As far as Deepika Padukone is concerned, she has recently returned to Mumbai from China after promoting her Hollywood Debut xXx: Return Of Xander Cage. She will resume work as Queen Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, which is also titled Padmavati
On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut is full-fledgedly promoting her next, titled Rangoon, which tells a tale of a love triangle which is set in the 1942 World War 2 era.
With two established actresses seemingly having the same opinion about the same character, seems like Majidi should sit down with his thinking cap on and make the script more suitable for the cinema which is pretty female-character centric.
