Box Office: Hichki stays strong WITHOUT any hiccups!

Rani Mukerji’s somewhat of a comeback film, Hichki, was indeed one of the most anticipated films of this year, and it is no secret that the film had been the talk of the town ever since the shoot had commenced, although ironically the film was shot in total secrecy. Maybe that’s what you can easily pull off if someone you know owns a whole studio all by itself!

And, gone Friday, when the film released, we were clearly not disappointed. It was a mix of joy, some hard emotions, and even nostalgia, for it had been a while since we had seen queen Rani gracing the screen.

And, if numbers that Hichki has been posting for the past 5 days or so, we can safely say that we are not the only one who have loved this film.

However, these numbers might seem small as compared to some big budget releases, but keep in mind that the Rani Mukerji-starrer YRF production had a very small-scale release, with just 961 Indian screens showing it.

Meanwhile, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety seems to be coming to the end of its theatrical run after posting a MASSIVE figure that is upwards of the 100-crore mark!
