Box Office Analysis: Tumhari Sulu stays STRONG!

After the sheer disappointment earlier this year in the form of Begum Jaan, Vidya Balan took us by surprise (in a good way, that too) with Tumhari Sulu. The film, although started at a light note by raking in just 2.87 crores on its first Friday, took off faster than an F1 car by raking in a whopping 4.61 crores and 5.39 crores on its first Saturday and Sunday respectively. As of yesterday’s numbers, the film has got in a total of 12.87 crores with a screen count of just a little above 800. Isn’t that magical or WHAT?!

Here’s what the eminent trade analyst Taran Adarsh just tweeted:

Well, considering that the film was made on a budget of 20 crores which includes everything, can this film turn into a hit? We shall know soon!

On the other hand, the other two releases, Justice League and Aksar 2 have made 19 crores and 2.44 crores respectively.
