Anushka Sharma on how being an outsider was an advantage for her in Bollywood!

Anushka Sharma has made herself one of the finest actress in Bollywood today. The actress who does not belong to any Bollywood camp, film background or popular filmy family started her career with a Yash Raj Film. Anushka made her debut with ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The ‘Sultan’ actress completed eight years in film fraternity earlier this month.

She feels that she started her career without any “preconceived notions about the way you have to do things”.

Anushak in an interview she said, “Being an outsider turned out to be an advantage for me. I didn’t come with any preconceived notions about the way you have to do things, so I’ve just been exactly the way I am at home.”

The ‘NH10’ actress is still basking in the success of her two big hits earlier this year, namely ‘Sultan’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The actress who has been in the news for dating Virat Kohli said, “It is important to have that sense of reality (that) you will have successes and you will have failures and you will have to be somewhere in between. I bagged a movie such as ‘NH10’ because I felt that it was a story that needed to be told. It wasn’t the most obvious choice for a film (as an actor), let alone producing it. But despite being an adult film, it did well. It’s about how well the films have been received and loved by audiences, which is directly connected to the storyline and the content.”

She further added, “I believe that a person can look good only if they feel comfortable. Each one of us has a unique style which makes us different. It’s just for us to realise our potential, accentuate our positives and flaunt the best in us. And of course, have fun while you keep it stylish.”

Anushka’s next production venture will be ‘Phillauri’ and she will also be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Imtiaz Ali’s next, ‘The Ring’!
