Angad Bedi, who was recently seen in Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai as bomb diffusing expert with a rugged and tough look, is in fact, someone who carries his heart on a sleeve and is not afraid to show it at all. Angad, who himself is an athlete since his formative years, is the son of renowned cricketer and ex-captain of the Indian Cricket team, Bishen Singh Bedi, who happens to run a coaching trust in Delhi that trains young kids in the sport he loves.
Not many are aware that before being an actor, Angad played cricket on a professional level for Delhi. In his early days of what is now a mega-popular sport, Angad has even taken part in the Ranji Trophy U-19 team.
Like his father, he too was a spinning force to reckon with and has made one helluva record with many wickets to his credit.
We have heard that nowadays If Angad is not tied up with shooting schedules, he ensures that he pays a timely visit to the academy in Delhi to motivate young budding cricketers. He also shares anecdotes and his experiences from his Ranji days with all the youngsters who and are selected for the tournament. Every session with the man is somewhat of a masterclass in its own right.
This comes as no surprise at all given that Angad grew up playing cricket and seeing his father while he uses to play for the A-team. With so much of experience that can come in handy, Angad ensures to deliver his knowledge to the Ranji to the best of his abilities so that he can deliver some of the best players from the academy.
One of the sources said, “Angad has been closely associated with the academy and whenever he is in Delhi he ensures to spend some time at the academy looking up these young cricketers preparing themselves for Ranji Trophy. He is often seen sharing some of his experiences when he uses to play Ranji in his early days of cricketing.”
