Akshay Kumar opens up on Stalking in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

Akshay Kumar is always known for his quality cinema. Be it Airlift, Rustom or Baby, Akshay‘s movies have always entertained the audience with a strong message in it. But recently Akshay Kumar was slammed by the audience as Akshay‘s character Keshav in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is seen following and clicking pictures of Jaya, played by Bhumi Pednekar, in the song Hans Mat Pagli.

In a recent media interaction, Akshay Kumar gave a clarification to this and said “It is just a character, and that’s it. In movies there are many things that are shown, here my character, Keshav, was trying to take a photo of Bhumi’s character, Jaya. This is wrong, but I can’t show all the good things only, right?”

Anupam Kher who is also part of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha supported Aakshay and said “To show the good in a character, sometimes you have to show the bad too. The transformation is very important. The character becomes completely different by the end of the film”

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a satirical film inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. The movie also stars Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, and Shubha Khote in supporting roles.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film is slated to release on August 11.
