One of the prime reasons why we are hearing about the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 getting delayed time and again is because of the alleged impending VFX work, which is something that its director, Shankar, is taking his own sweet time with as he wishes to make the film into something that will make the jaws of the audience drop.
But, given that the film delayed time and again, just like us, reportedly, the producers (Lyca Productions) are getting restless too, and rightly so!
What has this led to? A SUPER-NASTY fight due to the clash of egos and what not.
A source was quoted saying, “The makers, Lyca, wanted to release the film anyhow in April. The constant delays have not gone down well with them and they have faced a few losses too. Hence, when Shankar said 2.0 would have to be delayed further, they had a huge showdown. Lyca were adamant to release the film the way it was and Shankar didn’t give a damn. The fight became a clash of egos, but for now, they have resolved all the issues and decided to release the film later in the year.”
Oh man! Well, whatever it takes to make a masterpiece of a film!
