Many a times, Bollywood stars have taken inspiration from South Indian movies. Be it their remakes or dubbing their movies to telecast on television. A lot of our own Bollywood actors have also worked in the south remake of movies which has proved to make their career. In the 80’s and 90’s, south actors like Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan worked in Bollywood movies and they were loved and sometimes even worshiped by their fans. In 2001 R. Madhavan made his debut in Hindi movies with Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein along with Diya Mirza. Maddy won everyone’s hearts with his chocolate boy look in the film. After the spectacular success of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The conclusion, Prabhas soon became the hot favourite of the entire nation. Apart from this he even became a sure shot hit at the box office. From Karan Johar to all the renowned directors of B-town – all of them have shown their interest in launching Prabhas in Bollywood. His next film titled Saaho has already become one of the most ambitious and awaited movies of 2018.
Rana made his Bollywood debut alongside Bipasha Basu and received a positive response from the critics for his role. His personality and physique had already impressed everyone. In 2017 he featured in two movies, The Ghazi Attack and Baahubali: The Conclusion. Both the movies earned him a lot of critical acclaims. He played the main antagonist in the Baahubali franchise and we must say we had never seen such a ruthless and terrifying villain – Bollywood has gained a star with Rana Daggubati!
The cute Taapsee made her debut as an actress with a Telugu film. She got her ticket to Bollywood with Chashme Baddoor in 2013. Fast forward to 2015 where she played a powerful role in Baby which changed her life. After the success of Baby, Taapsee continued to rule in Bollywood with an another highly critical acclaimed film titled Pink alongside the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. After two films that won her so much appreciation, Taapsee then featured in yet another amazing film titled, Naam Shabana. Currently, Taapsee is busy shooting Judwaa 2 with Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. The South-Indian actress is on the high road to fame!
After a flop Bollywood debut Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005, Tamannaah went down South and made it big. She then returned into Bollywood with Himmatwala and various other Hindi films. Tamannaah made a big mark in her career when she featured in the magnum opus Baahubali. The actress has now become a preference of many filmmakers in Bollywood and has successfully gained several big projects in her kitty.
There isn’t anyone who didn’t like this Kolaveri Di boy despite not understanding the lyrics of the catchy song. He played his magic on Bollywood when he debuted opposite Sonam Kapoor in Raanjhanaa. His charm and talent was applauded when he received the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut back in 2013. His next Hindi film was opposite the megastar, Amitabh Bachchan and the film released to positive reviews with critics praising Dhanush’s performance. He will next be seen in VIP 2 alongside Kajol. Even though VIP 2 is a Tamil movie it will simultaneously release in Hindi as VIP 2: Lalkar.
