Kamya Punjabi tells all in this Exclusive interview!

Kamya Punjabi is on cloud nine, not only because her TV serial ‘Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ is doing well with its TRP’s but also because the contestant she was rooting for in Bigg Boss 10, Manveer Gurjar won the show! In an EXCLUSIVE tell-all interview with Bollyworm, Kamya expressed her love for Bigg Boss, her hectic work schedule as well as her recent face off with the Twitterati.

On Bigg Boss

I love Bigg Boss. Not only this year but I love that show, so much so that I am overly attached to it too. I never miss it and that’s why I know about each and every season after mine. I think the feeling between me and Bigg Boss is mutual, they call me every year and I go every year!

Her take on contestants not doing tasks in the BB house

This is the same thing that happened last year too. There were some people who didn’t really want to try doing tasks. I, at times wonder if I could get the opportunity to do these task which were so interesting and adventurous. I also read somewhere on Twitter that this is Bigg Boss not ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, tasks are not important. My season was different only, everyone was so passionate to do tasks. Agar aapko cheezein lightly hi leni thi toh aap ghar pe hi rehte yahan aake ek seat kyu kharab kar di.

On the BB10 concept of Commoners and Celebrities

I really liked it. The viewers who sit in front of their TV screens and watch the show and vote for their contestants were actually getting a chance to be a part of it. It might have received a lot of backlash because of people like Swami Om and Priyanka Jagga but there are also people like Nitibha Kaul, Mannu Punjabi and Manveer Gurjar.

On Manveer Gurjar wining the show

He represented India in a brilliant way. Manveer never broke any rules, never disrespected Bigg Boss and he totally deserved it. I did vote appealing videos for him and cheered him all along.

On facing a major backlash on Twitter

I just posted my opinion and it was so sad. These people who call themselves Bani Fans said a lot of things in bad taste. They asked me from which cheap shop I bought my daughter from. They brought up my past into it. I can reply to these haters anytime but I was not raised that way.

The actress is currently extremely busy with her TV show and isn’t planning to do any reality TV shows unless it is something out of the box.
