Radhika Apte out, Nawazuddin Siddiqui to star in Phobia 2
Remember Radhika Apte’s horrible performance in Phobia? Playing the role of a claustrophobic, she made her fear and exhaustion entirely relatable.
Director Pavan Kirpalani used an eerie tone, noir mood and unconventional camera angles ( Something RGV miserably failed with, Department anyone?) to give us a thriller that gave chills and also respected the intelligence of the audiences.
Now, producer of the film Viki Rajani has teamed up again with Kirpalani to direct its sequel sans Apte. This time, we have an equally reliable and robust performer, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. And the fear the makers shall explore in the second part is reportedly Acrophobia (Fear of Heights, yes, a la Shilpa Shetty in Baazigar).
Hope, Phobia 2 is a success and also makes more people discover the first part.
