Irrespective of whatever you might call Karan Johar in the light of the recent controversies that have come his way, one thing is for sure; He has a knack for picking some really great stories to produce and is pretty much capable of giving the films a mass appeal.
Now, given that we already know about Karan Johar’s tendency to pick out blockbuster stories, it did not really come as a surprise to us when our Khabri Keeda dropped by to give us the news of a yet another great story that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is intending to produce.
As per KK, the film will be a biopic based on the life of Gunjan Saxena, who was, in fact, one of the first 25 Indian woman trainee pilots who joined the Indian Air Force IAF.
To give you a small jist of what her life was all about, Saxena herself hails from a family of army men and thus it was natural for her to join the family profession, and that too in 1999, when the attitude towards women joining professions like the IAF was not really taken in a sporting manner and generally families would not have been supportive of such a decision. Back in 1999, she, along with a fellow pilot Srividya Rajan, took the opportunity of becoming the role models that they are today to others by going all out during the Kargil war back then.
Now, that’s definitely a story that is worth telling, don’t you think so?
Wondering who will play the role of Saxena or who will direct it? Stay tuned to this space for that!
