Did Rajkummar Rao refuse a film with Sushant Singh Rajput?

Nitesh Tiwari, who co-directed the critically acclaimed Chillar Party with Vikas Bahl, and the 2016 blockbuster hit, Dangal, has reportedly signed Sushant Singh Rajput for his next two-hero film. For the role of the other actor, the director approached Rajkummar Rao, who’s soon turning out to be on every maker’s wish-list. If sources are to be believed, Rajkummar Rao turned down the offer when he came to know it wasn’t the lead role. After conquering the year 2017 with breathtaking performances in films like Trapped, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Newton, the actor seems to be interested in only the lead roles.

Apparently, as per our Khabri Keeda, he didn’t want to play the second fiddle to Sushant, as it had already happened in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che, where Sushant was the leading man, despite the film being his debut. However, a lot has changed since those days and now both the actors are at the top of their respective careers. Sushant is flooded with one film after the other, be it Kedarnath, Abhishek Chaubey’s next untitled film, Chanda Mama Door Ke, The Fault in Our Stars remake and Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive, which are the ones we know of so far.

Rajkummar, on the other hand, is doing Fanne Khan, Stree and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.

Now, the question is, who will Nitesh Tiwari sign to be alongside Sushant Singh Rajput? Time to wait and watch.
