We were amongst the first ones to tell you all that Amitabh Bachchan and Sairat director Nagraj Manjule will be collaborating for a social drama that will be a very exciting watch (Obviously, it’s Amitabh Bachchan and the Sairat director we are talking about) And now, our Khabri Keeda has some really exciting details to share with you all on the same.
The film in question is going to be a biopic based on the life of Vijay Barse, the visionary man who founded Slum Soccer, a Not-For-Profit organization that focuses on the overall development of slum kids through the means of soccer. He was the one who even took the slum dwelling kids to the prestigious Homeless World Cup.
In an interview, Professor Vijay Barse, speaking about the idea of football as means to bring in an overall development to the less privileged kids, said ‘Providing them with a chance to play football will not only enhance their fitness but also skills like team-building, self-esteem, friendship, togetherness with the society, self-confidence and creativity’
Well, if we have to take a guess, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer will chronicle Mr. Barse’s initial days of discovering football to be as means of bringing in a change, how he managed to get his first team together and how the team had their first big victory when, probably at some point, the odds were against them. What an interesting movie!
Trust Amitabh Bachchan and Nagraj Manjule to make a film like that and ace it!
We can’t wait to hear more about this film from the team!
