Akshay Kumar is someone who undoubtedly has a heart of gold but refrains from talking about all his good deeds in public, which is something that we really adore about him. He clearly lives by the age old adage “Neki Kar aur Dariya Mein Daal”.
Well, we have the story of one such Neki of our Khiladi Kumar that will surely melt your heart!
If our Khabri Keeda is to be believed (which we do so blindly), while shooting for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, he happened to learn about the sad story of an aged lady who was living in the worst possible conditions around his Vanity Van, who received a pension amount of somewhere around Rs. 300-400 received monthly, which we all know is anything but sufficient.
It so happened that once her children got married, they moved on to separate locations, which meant that this lady was left to fend for herself in this wretched home.
When Akshay got to hear about this, and had her story verified, he didn’t think twice before getting her home rebuilt and deciding on sending her a fixed amount monthly. The exact amount of remittances remains unknown, but, hey, who cares? It’s such a heart-warming gesture! And the best part– He never spoke a word about it all in public!
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, a film starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, is running successfully in theatres!
