Birthday Special: 5 Times Ranveer Singh Stole the Show with his Eccentric Outfits

Ranveer Singh is one of the most talented actors in B-Town’s current generation. He has been appreciated a lot for his performance in multiple roles, especially the epic historical romance Bajirao Mastani, for which he even won his first Filmfare Award for best actor.

Apart from his acting ability Ranveer has always made heads turn with his quirky (read: downright crazy) dressing style. This Bollywood livewire has always been no.1 in surprising us when it comes to his bizarre outfits. On the special occasion of this wildchild’s birthday, we bring to you five times when Ranveer Singh made headlines for his choice of eccentric outfits.

When Ranveer Singh dressed as a condom

Shahid Kapoor, on his 36th birthday threw a lavish party for all his B-Town buddies. As the party was in full swing, Ranveer Singh stepped in and stole the show with his outfit. He wore a white, hooded onesie with black stripes running from his neck down to his right arm. The outfit got him a lot of attention (both good and bad) as the actor was compared to various things ranging from condoms, plastic bags, a sperm, and even laminated things on social media.

When he wore pyjamas to GQ’s Best Dressed Men event.

This Bollywood hottie showed up to a fashion event in pyjamas? Talk about challenging the system! Ranveer picked an outfit that was as vibrant as his personality – Printed pyjamas, and a white T-shirt that read ‘No f*cks to give’. He paired up his unique look with Sylvester slippers, a house coat, and hat. Looks like Ranveer found the perfect combo of comfort and style.

When he dressed as a cowboy for Kill Dil promotions

Aaaand Ranveer did it again – Dressed like he belonged to the Texas Rodeo Club for the song launch of Kill Dil – Ranveer looked like the denim-ized version of a cowboy. While denim on denim is a BIG no-no in the world of fashion – this actor still seemed to pull it off with ease.

When he wore a floral blue coat to promote Dil Dhadakne Do

Ranveer Singh promoted his movie Dil Dhadakne Do in costumes that were quite interesting. He wore purple pyjamas and a T-shirt along with a floral blazer accompanied with white shoes. In another event, he wore a gold floral jacket and coordinated shorts. He even called his outfit of the day as ‘baba suit’ – Looks like Ranveer had a thing for flowers back in 2015!

When he wore a lehenga for Bajirao Mastani promotions

Ranveer Singh crossed every limit when he sported a fully flared lehenga for the promotion of Bajirao Mastani. The actor teamed this skirt with a deep maroon sherwani and brown footwear. As bizarre as this is, we have to admit, Ranveer pulled off this lehenga better than a lot of actresses we know!

Being crazy and quirky, Ranveer has rocked all his looks and is a paparazzi favourite. Nitasha Gaurav who has been Ranveer’s stylist for quite some time says “There is one fundamental thought behind anything he wears – it makes him happy,”

Ranveer has always had an ‘I don’t give a damn attitude’ and his cheerful nature even reflects in his movies. Speaking about his style he once said “I was thrust into the limelight pretty much overnight after the success of ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. I went from obscurity to fame in one night. So, it was very difficult to cope with that. I had not grown up around anybody famous. I had not observed what it means to be a public figure. I made a lot of mistakes, there were some really poor choices. I didn’t know what to wear, how to dress like, I didn’t know who to be. I didn’t know what was going on. It was so overwhelming.”

We wish this bizarre-dressing-crazy-actor a wonderful year ahead! May you and your outfits get wilder, ‘cause we love it!
